Breaks my heart to hear this place will officially close doors tomorrow January 1, 2024. Mr. Bac, the owner, told our group that they have served the Elmhurst community for 27 years. This place has not changed since I first visited ages ago when I came to NYC. This was my go-to spot for Pho and the only place that makes the best Cha Gio (crispy spring rolls). Dined here with my family for the last time today to savor the food and good memories we've had over the years. My kids kept saying "we will miss this place" in-between bites of the grilled pork and I wholeheartedly agree.
The store is closing permanently as of Dec 31, 2023. Thank you for your delicious food. The owners are nice and pleasant people. Today, iI bought he spring rolls and are pretty delicious. They are hot and crispy. I got a large spring roll for $14 with 8 pieces. The cost is expensive.
Pho Bac has been a staple in Elmhurst for 27 years. Ive been going to this spot for over 2 decades since High School days at Newtown. Friendly, Efficient and well organized staff take your orders and deliver Vietnamese classics from their kitchen, like Beef Pho or Banh Mi sandwiches. The wood tables and decorative interior give this place a home-like vibe with warm food against a background of conversation all create Pho Bac's unique atmosphere and savory meals.
